Tim O’Connor, Corporate and Law Firm Recruiter

Tim O'Connor

“ [At CampusPoint], we’ve hired for the following law firms: Garden City Group, Lane Powel, P.C., Heller Ehrman White and McAuliffe, Christiensen O’Connor Johnson Kindness PLCC, Dorsey & Whitney LLP, the Washington State Bar Association, Williams, Kastner, Davis, Wright, and Tremaine, Mills Myers Swartling, K &L Gates, Foster Pepper PLLC,  Perkins Cole, Smith and Lowney, Gordon Thomas Honeywell, Keller Rohrback L.L.P.,  Garvey Schubert Barer, Patterson Buchanan Fobes Leitch & Kalzer, PS, Harley H. Hoppe & Associates. Inc., and Graham & Dunn PC.

We online search prospective employees if the employer specifically asks for it. As for unprofessional behavior, it depends on the culture of the employer.

We go through great lengths to learn the culture of our client employers and if they’re a particularly conservative one, then we are more apt to Google the candidate for social media blemishes (drug use reference, binge drinking references, etc). Regular party pictures aren’t blemishes—people are people!

Good uses of social media depends on the job. But to be generic I’ll say, demonstrations of civic duty/involvement, having a high net promoter score (klout), and/or having a balanced looking life that is aligned with our internal culture.”

Tim O’Connor is a recruiter for law firms and internal corporate management positions. He is originally from Fairbanks, Alaska. He loves working for CampusPoint: its mission, its people, and his role of being able to wear as many hats as he can!
